Available for events ranging from dinner clubs, lounges, pubs, cafes, outdoor events to other social gatherings, both corporate and individual. Hailing from Fairfield, Ohio. Take 2 is the calmination of Anita Rae's and Mitch's musical endeavors.
Take 2 can lend a hand in your conquering of any herculean and gladiatorial events.
Personal Bios
Anita Rae is a singer, composer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist consisting of Keyboards, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Harmonica, Jews Harp, Percussion, Kazoo, Theramin, & many other instruments.
She was raised in family surrounded by musicians and she received her first piano at age 3. Around age 11, she used her hair brush as a microphone singing along with her 45 rpm vinyl records. Her Dad encouraged her to join the school choir where she refined her art and performed in school plays and musicals.
At age 16, she had her first live stage solo performance singing at Shakey's Pizza where she was bitten by the bug and never looked back.
She has performed in local bands in Southern Ohio, such as, the Hitz, Flashback Taxi, Hayden Williams Band, performed with Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame inductee, John Hampton, and with Shuan Foist of the band "Breaking Benjamin".
Anita's influences are a wide variety from country, blues, rock, and classical. The artists she most relates to are Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Faith Hill, Tracey Chapman, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, and many others.
Currently, she is in several projects playing keyboard and singing in HotCargo and traveling across the country playing Bass in TAKE 2 Acoustic Duet with her husband.
She is also working in collaboration on an original album, writing and recording with her husband on their soon to be released album.
Mitch brings insight to the band’s formation with his distinctive individual guitar style and conceptual talents that set him apart from the pack.
Mitch is a composer/songwriter, singer, and mult-instrumentalist capabilities, including percussion, keyboards, Bass guitar. With Los Angeles and Southern Ohio band experience as a guitarist and bassist, Mitch brings his creative talents, in association with recording and administrative knowledge, for the furtherance of Take 2's original musical endeavors.
Band credits include: Take 2 Acoustic, Hot Cargo, Cathouse Mouse, Purple Haze, Westwinds, and Modern Torture. Influences span from Deep Purple, Black Sabbath to Van Halen, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Simon & Garfunkel, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young among many others.
Mitch is currently involved in two musical projects, playing bass guitar and singing in Hot Cargo and playing guitar and singing in Take 2 Acoustic with his wife.
As part of the Take 2 Acoustic project, Mitch is developing material for an upcoming album.
